As Durham County Council decided to terminate the Home Independence Service with effect from 31 March 2011 due to Government cuts, Calvin Hedley is unfortunately no longer seconded to the Society to provide demonstration and information about specialist daily living equipment for people with sight loss.
However, the Society's trustees have decided to continue this service in-house from 1 April 2011 using volunteers. If you would like a demonstration of equipment or signposting information or any other help regarding equipment, please contact the office on 0191 386 8175 and we will make arrangements for a volunteer to come out to visit you with a sample box of equipment and information.
